About Michael Campian
A business professional with over 30 years financial and business management experience working primarily with small and medium-sized businesses, Michael has worked as a Controller, Director of Group Services and Chief Financial Officer. In these positions he has not only lead the accounting/finance functions, but also has experience in HR, Operations, Administration and Network/IT. He has experience in distribution, wholesale, construction, direct marketing, transportation, FAA Repair facilities, service industries as well as public accounting experience.
As a hands on professional, one thing that he understands most about businesses today is the need for good cash management. Michael has successfully implemented cash control and cash savings plans that help companies get through tough financial times. As a well-qualified management professional, Michael brings experience, knowledge, dedication and a strong business sense in his role as a part-time, on-site Chief Financial Officer. He is not only comfortable in the financial arena but is equally comfortable in assisting with operational issues.
Since joining B2B CFO® Michael has worked with business owners that want to spend more time in “Finding” activities rather than “Minding” activities in very diverse industries (see article in blog: The Unofficial Organizational Chart). He currently services clients in distribution, transportation, manufacturing, construction and service industries.
Additionally, Michael owned an Accounting and Tax practice where he helped guide small start up businesses establish financial policies, procedures and controls. His diverse background has given him the ability to help control cash management and he has successfully negotiated initial bank financing for start up companies as well as negotiating comprehensive insurance policies with savings over 25% in annual premiums.
Michael has a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree from Walsh College. He and his wife Mary have been married for over 28 years and have one son Zacharie. He also is a past Treasurer and Council member to the Church he has attended since he was a child.
